The Eddie
Watkins Lodge meets every Sunday at the
Royal British Legion Club, Belmont Road, Hereford, at 12.30
p.m.
On 10th June 1990,
Brethren of the Hereford Province of the RAOB opened a new Lodge to be known as the Eddie
Watkins Lodge No 10492.
The Lodge was opened at
the St Martins RAOB Club, Friar Street, Hereford, and the founder members were
Bros J
MacAtear KOM, SH Swann KOM, B Newman CP and G Kidley KOM.
Initiations carried out on
the night were for Bros G Skivington Snr, C Darg, D MacAtear, D Poutney, J McDougal, S
Weaver and T Bewdell.
Affiliations at the opening meeting were given to
Bros W Pierce
ROH, HG Williams ROH, J Hogan ROH, M Burrow ROH, P Burgess KOM, S Richards CP, G
Skivington Jnr, A Hunt, A Thompson, R Williams, and D Chatfield KOM, who was elected
the first Worthy Primo.
The Lodge remained at
Friar Street until 2nd February 1992 when it was moved to the Lancaster Inn, Bridge
Street, staying there until 10th October 1992 when it finally moving to its current
location.
